What is the legal front window tint in Minnesota?
Minnesota law requires the front side windows to let in at least 50% of light (VLT). VLT is the share of light a window lets through, so a higher number means a lighter tint — anything darker than 50% on the front sides is illegal for non-exempt drivers.
How dark can the back and rear windows be tinted in Minnesota?
In Minnesota, the back side windows must let in at least 50%, and the rear window must let in at least 50%. The rear window of a pickup and the rear and rear-side windows of a van are exempt from these limits.
Can you tint the windshield in Minnesota?
