Why PPF in Las Vegas
Highway gravel, desert sun and hot paint.
Gravel and debris on I-15, the 215 and US-95 are a daily chip risk for a bare front end, and the Mojave adds 110°F-plus afternoons and year-round UV on top of it.
PPF is a physical barrier: it helps absorb chips and road debris before they reach the clear coat. The topcoat is hydrophobic, so bug splatter and bird droppings rinse off more easily, and light swirl marks and surface scratches in the film’s topcoat can fade with heat from sun or hot water.
Film quality matters in desert sun. The film Polar Tint installs has a yellowing-resistant urethane topcoat made for clarity under Mojave UV, and Polar Tint does not install low-grade PVC film, which can yellow quickly.

There is none. Clear bra is the common name for paint protection film: the same optically clear film bonded over factory paint so rock chips hit the film instead of the clear coat.
